Q: How can I jumpstart my internet marketing VA business?
Elayne
Hi Elayne--
One of the best ways to do this is to start advertising yourself as an Internet Marketing VA (IMVA). This means that you refer to yourself as this on your website, in your email sig file, and in the articles that you write.
You also need to be up-to-date in Internet marketing strategy. I would subscribe to every newsletter/blog published by well-known Internet marketers and learn to model what they're doing so that you can easily replicate these strategies for your clients.
I would join a membership site or two and access more in-depth materials on strategy. Two that I can high recommend are my own, OnlineBizU.com, as well as VAClassroom.com
Next, begin to implement on your own site and in your own business some of these Internet marketing strategies that you're seeing. The more you do this, the more you understand the outcomes and the stronger your experience base becomes. You conversations with clients become stronger and more powerful when you can "walk the talk" so to speak..:)
Finally, research potential target markets and pick one. Then, you need to become the "overnight wonder" in that market and learn everything you can about what makes them tick. Once you begin to speak their language on your website, whether that's for coaches or accountants or real estate agents, they will realize that you know and understand their industry and will be attracted to you because your understanding of them.
