Meet my New Online Business Manager

Wow, I've been completely immersed in the materials from the Membership Site Bootcamp Coaching program!  I've taken so many notes that I'm already overwhelmed! :)  Fortunately, there's someone on board to help me with that overwhelm. 

After months of contemplation, I've brought on Janet Anderton as my new Online Business Manager.  Janet brings her wonderful sense of humor along  with her online marketing expertise to my team and I'm thrilled.

Janet began her solo journey as a VA in 2002 and has expanded her knowledge and skills to her present-day passion on all things marketing, as well as specializing in Online Business Management for coaches, speakers, authors, etc.  Janet will be handling the majority of my back-end operations allowing me to spend time developing my new program and additional products.

An Amazing Retreat

The virtual business retreat that I created and participated in with members of my MasterMind Group went exceptionally well last Thursday and Friday.  Two of the participants had to pull out at the last minute, so that left two of us to play.  We both found it so inspiring and invigorating to be taking control of our future for the next 3 years.  I told my retreat buddy that I hadn't felt in this much control of my destiny in two years--the last time I did a full business retreat. 

The greatest feature about the retreat was the accountability.  We kicked it off via a teleconference bridge line and reviewed the proposed schedule.  The fact that we had to touch base with each other several times during the day kept us both on task and helped us accomplish our goals for the two days.  The experience was so powerful that we've already set the date for our 2007 retreat! 

In January I hope to release an ebook and workbook to help you create a memorable retreat for your business as well that will help you have your best year yet in 2007!  Keep your eyes open for the announcement soon..:)

Giver's Gain as Chief Brainstorm Officer

That's the title I'm giving myself this week, as I've been quite the brainstormer.  Not for myself, you understand, but for one client and one colleague.  I'll tell you about the latter. My ebook cover designer, Heather Colman, Custom Design Covers, always does an amazing job of designing covers for both me and my clients. So, when I needed album art designed for my podcast, she was the first person I thought of.

You may be asking, "What's album art for podcasts, anyway?"  Well, she asked me the same question, having never heard the term before.  Podcast album art is a graphic representation of your podcast, kind of like an ebook cover, only smaller.  It's useful to have when you upload your podcast to various podcasting directories. If you have an iPod or other mp3 player that shows video, the podcast cover is downloaded when you download a podcast to that device and helps the user quickly identify a particular podcast on sight.

I did a bit of research on this topic, and she did some research, and suddenly a new product was born for her!  And, as a thank you for giving her that idea, she created my podcast album art as you see on the right at no charge..:).

Now, all I have to do is get back on schedule of creating my podcasts..LOL
